Administrative Roles and Permissions
Katalon Platform organizes users into four management levels:
The account level is the highest, followed by the organization, the team, then the project level.
Overall, the account level is in charge of subscription and billing management functions, while the organization level collates teams, projects, and users for collaboration.
Members can be assigned different roles with varying permissions and privileges. While they can be granted administrator rights, advanced administrative functions are inaccessible to them by default.
View the user roles within an organization
- Sign in to Katalon TestOps and go to your project. The project Dashboard appears.
- Click Settings at the top right corner. From the dropdown menu, click User Management.
- You can see the roles of all users under the Role column.

Roles and permissions at Organization level
If a member receives a checkout link generated by someone else, they can subscribe to and checkout licenses on Katalon Platform. This is only applicable if there is no predefined payment method. See: Katalon License Subscription.
