Starting October 12, 2026, the True Platform SKU will be renamed to True Manual. This naming update creates a clearer distinction between Katalon True Platform, the overall platform, and the commercial offerings available within it.
What this means for existing customers:
- If you currently use the True Platform SKU, you may see it displayed as True Manual starting October 12, 2026. This is a naming change only. Your existing capabilities, entitlements, and access remain unchanged. No action is required.
- New customers will see True Manual and True Automation as the primary offering names under Katalon True Platform, with True Enterprise available for organizations requiring a tailored enterprise configuration.

Katalon AI Assistant is a productivity layer inside governed QA workflows.
Instead of being a standalone tool, it’s embedded across the platform to help teams author tests faster, maintain them more easily, and make sense of execution results, while keeping humans in control.
- Test planning — Upload a requirement and work with Katalon AI to refine it, remove ambiguities, and generate linked test cases ready for automation.
- Test execution — Create and monitor test runs directly from the assistant. It also runs manual tests autonomously and asks for human input where guidance is needed.
- Failure triage — Analyze failed results to identify whether a failure points to a bug, a test script issue, or a flaky test, along with suggested resolution steps.
- Bug filing — Draft and file bug tickets in Jira or ADO directly from a failed result, with execution context attached.
